Google to Sell Tablets Directly
Google will soon begin selling tablet computers directly to the consumer through an online store, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
The store will sell tablets made by Android partners such as Samsung and ASUS, as well as new tablets likely to grow from Google's acquisition of Motorola. The store will work similarly to the company's move to sell the Nexus One smartphone directly in 2010.
The report also stated that the next version of Android, known as "Jelly Bean," will arrive in the middle of this year.
