Google and Walmart Partnership is First Real Competition for Amazon
To this point in its industry hijacking blitz, Amazon hasn’t really faced a ton of “competition.” In truth, they’ve been the one bringing competition (or turmoil, depending on your point of view) to lots of markets that typically have been considered stable. Think about it: grocery chains, while competing with one another, have long been a community staple and were untouchable in the age of Amazon—then the Whole Foods purchase happened.
It was the same story with department stores, electronics stores, book stores… The list goes on.
But now there’s a new partnership that has some promise in the fight against the ecommerce giant: Walmart and Google.
