That chemistry has also enabled Cole to attract and retain the right employees, something he's also known for throughout the industry.
"Our mission statement is, 'Employees first, customers second.' If you have happy employees, you'll have happy customers," he said. "I love my people. I hope they love me as much as I love them. I don't know."
The answer to that is clear. World Wide Stereo employees have been with the company for an average of 18 years and 25 percent of them have been working there for half of their lives. Many say it's his leadership abilities that have kept people by his side. In tough situations Cole is known as the one who keeps his cool, makes the right decision and sets his people safely to firm ground.
