Walmart Sues CVS Over Executive
Walmart executive vice president President Hank Mullany, who presided over the company's U.S. North division, left the company to become president of CVS/Pharmacy- but Walmart has sued to prevent Mullany from moving.
According to Bloomberg News, a judge has temporarily barred Mullany from jumping to CVS. Walmart had sued alleging that Mullany's move would violate a non-compete agreement.
Mullany's departure was announced Friday and he was to join CVS Monday. He has been prevented from beginning his new job pending a Dec. 15 court hearing.
