How do you determine which format best suits which need?
It has to do with recording time, compatibility issues, price of the discs—whichever way they answer can lead you in one direction or another. For example, by asking a question the other day, we found out that one of our customers had purchased a certain Panasonic progressive-scan DVD player that was DVD-RAM-compatible. So it made sense for that customer to go with a DVD-RAM recorder.
