Harman Announces Two Hires
Harman International on Thursday announced a management shakeup, with a new chief financial officer and automative division head in place under CEO Dinesh C. Paliwal.
According to the Washington Post, Herbert K. Parker will become Harman’s new CFO later this fall, and will also join the executive committee. Parker replaces Kevin L. Brown. Meanwhile Klaus Blickle, formerly of the German engineering company EDAG Group, is the new automative division chief.
Following the collapse of its proposed acquisition last year by two buyout firms, Harman announced in January plans to move its corporate headquarters to Connecticut from Washington, D.C. The company’s 90-year-old founder, Sidney Harman, will remain in Washington, but remains the company’s chairman.
