Harman, B&W Reach Agreement on Accessories
Harman International and Bowers & Wilkins have reached a licensing agreement covering products for the luxury automotive accessories market, the companies announced Tuesday.
The agreement, called an “exclusive licensing agreement” by the companies, entails Harman handling hardware development for B&W products, while B&W handles “systems integration, performance and the branding.”
“This new alliance is a partnership in the truest sense of the word—a collaboration that combines the technical strengths of audio leaders possessing an extensive heritage related to producing high-performance sound offerings,” B&W’s chairman and CEO, Joe Atkins, said in a statement. “The agreement is intended to increase the pace and scale of delivering Bowers & Wilkins branded systems to the luxury automotive market.”
