Harvey to Close All Stores But Two
As part of its bankruptcy reorganization, Harvey Electronics will close five of its seven current locations and hold going-out-of-business sales at them, the company announced Wednesday. The move was agreed to as part of an extension of a bankruptcy financing request.
The two remaining stores will both be in Manhattan- two blocks apart from each other on 19th and 21st Streets- while the chain will close stores in New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as Greenvale and Mt. Kisco, N.Y.
“As we continue to restructure our operations to exclusively focus on the custom integration of in-home technologies, Harvey is exploring additional store-within-a-store locations in the New York metro area,” the company’s interim CEO, Michael Recca, said in a statement.
