In 2000, he became Clarke Distribution's business development representative and spent the next five years leading a team to create value-added sales processes needed to support developers, builders, architects and designers of large-scale residential developments-then an untapped market. As a result, Clarke significantly grew its portfolio of residential developments and also its dealer network leads for large orders. In 2005, CEO Tom Clarke asked Sean, his son, to become general manager. Amid the recession, Sean Clarke guided the company to surgically reduce costs while still cultivating growth.
