h.h. gregg Completes Omni-Channel Strategy
h.h. gregg has rolled out its first mobile e-commerce platform - the final piece of an evolving omni-channel strategy - to leverage holiday shopping sales and create a more loyal customer following throughout the rest of the year.
The retailer introduced the mobile platform last month and recently began a series of online promotions leading up to its "Black Friday On Us" sales event. So far, the initiatives have paid off.
"It's exciting. For instance, we recently sent an email out about our Black Friday events and we're seeing more and more of the opened emails happening on mobile," said Jeff Pearson, h.h. gregg's senior vice president of marketing. "Over half of the people who registered for the promotion did so on their mobile device. We also had some online-only sales in November and the number of people who bought on mobile devices have been strong as well."
