HiberSense Releases Room-to-Room Comfort Smart HVAC System
HiberSense, Inc. is making available to technology integrators and HVAC specialists its patent-pending smart climate solution designed to deliver balanced comfort throughout any space.
The system is engineered to deliver what the company terms as balanced comfort while optimizing energy usage and at the same time delivering energy usage data.
The system is scalable for whole-home or whole-office applications, and gathers data from every room for intelligent climate management using a combination of wireless sensors and automated vents managed through a smart hub. The sensors report temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, light and motion data from each room to the hub.
The company points out that there are roughly 70 million homes and businesses in the U.S. that use single-thermostat forced-air HVAC systems, making it nearly impossible to balance the level of comfort in each room – an issue that the HiberSense system solves, according to the company. The company also claims that energy savings of up to 40 percent can be achieved by its use. The system is designed for both new and retrofit applications, says the company.
“With so many homes and work spaces plagued by the discomfort of unbalanced HVAC, I am excited to launch this brand through HVAC specialists and integrators, providing them with an important solution for their clients,” said HiberSense COO Bob Fields in the announcement statement.
