HiFi House Closes
Philadelphia-area home entertainment retailer and integrator HiFi House has ceased operations after nearly 60 years in business, Dealerscope has learned. An HTSA member, HiFi House operated three locations, its flagship in Broomall, Pa., as well as in Jenkintown, Pa. and Wilmington, Del.
"As of June 4, 2014, HiFi House has ceased current operations," according to a recorded message left on the company's main number Wednesday.
HiFi House opened in 1955, and president/CEO was Jon Robbins, who joined the company in 1976 and led it for more than 35 years. When reached, Robbins said he had no comment.
