Miele, a German manufacturer of high-end home cooking and laundry appliances, among other things, debuted it's full association with Nationwide at the group's recent PrimeTime! event, held in Dallas. While the vendor previously had ties to the group on an individual member basis, it established a full association with the national efforts of Nationwide earlier this summer.
"We've been working to get involved with Miele for as long as two years," says Kelly, who added that, at the event, Miele brought a display in that garnered accolades from attending dealers. For Nationwide, it's also a sign of similar partnerships to come. "We want to move Miele and the other high-end brands deeper into our organization," he says.
Other groups are also taking a serious look at the high-end market. At Brand Source's annual national convention in Las Vegas this August, executive director Bob Lawrence announced the group's newest initiative: Gourmet Source.
