High Tech Meets High Fashion at FashionWare CE Week
Living in Digital Times will host a FashionWare event at CE Week in New York City later this month. The panel, fashion show and 2-day exhibition will explore this emerging market, showcase the latest trends, and celebrate the most sophisticated and stylish designs.
The FashionWare Exhibit at CE Week Line Shows, June 26-27 at the Metropolitan Pavilion, is an exhibition of visionary work by cutting-edge technology companies and fashion designers who today are shaping the future of fashion. Smart fabrics, embedded sensors, AR glasses, stylish headsets, wearable technology and envy-evoking tablets and phones are all part of the picture. The classic LBD will be made by 3D printers, skirts will be embedded with LED lights, handbags will charge your electronics, watches will be smart, and bracelets will count your calories.
The Fashionware Panel at 4:30 p.m. on June 26 at the Metropolitan Pavilion will look at the spectrum of new technologies and the designers and creators who are incorporating them. They’ll be discussing everything from fashion accessories: 3D printed, body and motion sensors, smart watches and the much discussed Google Glass -- through the new couture: smart fabrics and textiles that are smart, functional and aesthetic.
