Hisense to Support Eurofins Digital Testing’s 4K HDR UHD Logo Scheme
Eurofins Digital Testing, an end-to-end quality assurance and testing service company, announced that Hisense is the latest TV manufacturer to commit to Eurofins’ 4K HDR Ultra HD logo technical requirements in its products. Hisense joins LG and MStar in supporting the logo scheme.
According to Eurofins’, the logo scheme helps consumers identify devices that have been “fully tested and proven to deliver the highest picture quality currently available.” To earn that distinction, the product must be able to handle High Dynamic Range, Ultra HD, and Wide Color Gamut simultaneously from both broadband and broadcast sources, as well as HDMI. Eurofins’ said their specs are the only ones on the market right now that covers both broadcast and broadband inputs.
All of Hisense’s 2017 4K HDR UDH TV models will feature the logo on their packaging.
“It is an honor to receive this prestigious 4K HDR UHD certification from Eurofins, which recognizes Hisense for its cutting-edge display technologies,” Mr. Han Jianmin, Deputy General Manager of Hisense International, said in a statement. “We are proud to offer a range of 4K TVs that deliver the best possible viewing experience, including extended contrast range and WCG for HDR.”
“HDR, UHD and WCG represent an unparalleled viewing experience – making content more realistic and more immersive,” added Johan Craeybeckx, Business Line Director at Eurofins Digital Testing International. “We are proud to announce adoption of our logo by Hisense, which brings great benefit to consumers by ensuring that all 4K, HDR TVs on the market deliver on their promise.”
Eurofins’ said that other leading TV manufacturers have expressed interest in the scheme. The company expects to announce additional support at a later date.
