Hoffman Video to Start Home Theater Division
The California-based a/v system provider Hoffman Video announced last week that it will launch a high-end home theater division, which will both design and install home theaters in the Southern California market.
The company plans to base the theaters around video servers, touch-panel control systems, and Wireless Y5 systems, and says it is California’s lone dealer/installer for Panasonic’s 103-inch plasma set. Hoffman’s senior systems engineer, Andy Day, said in a company statement that Hoffman is making the move because there is a great deal of demand in the Southern California market for high-end home theaters, with a savvy audience looking for the best when it comes to new products.
Hoffman, which was founded in 1941 as a fluorescent bulb-centered electronics operation, has been at the forefront of changing trends in technology for seven decades. For more on the company, visit www.hoffmanvideo.com
