Holiday 2017 Preview: Consumer Tech Tops the List
In May 2017, NAPCO Research and Dealerscope conducted a survey intended to uncover consumers' anticipated holiday tech spending habits. This article is a preview of some of the findings. The full report will be shared during a keynote at CE Week 2017 in New York City, July 12-13.
Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, one of my favorite movie franchises was Back to the Future. I loved the idea of defying the rules of nature and moving backwards and forwards in time. Plus, driving around in a DeLorean at 88 miles an hour seemed pretty cool too.
Perhaps that explains my chosen career path. As a Research Analyst, data gives me the opportunity to look to the past to discern consumer behaviors, identify technology adoption trends and trace the arc of technology evolution. It also gives me the opportunity to peer into the future and identify consumer expectations of technology and discern where it might be headed.
