In late October, InfoScout, a research firm that specializes in consumer purchase habits and insights, dropped their top predictions for the 2016 holiday retail season. Those predictions covered a number of areas, including their expected performance of the voice-control product segment, as well as shoppers’ tendencies around purchasing TVs.
More interestingly, InfoScout made a number of shopping trend predictions that could ultimately have serious implications for the brick-and-mortar consumer electronics stores this holiday season.
But before diving a little deeper into that data than we did previously, it’s important to understand how and why InfoScout’s research bears a little more weight and significance than the next research firm out there making similar predictions. InfoScout’s data is culled from what they call the largest purchase panel in the United States.
