Home Depot Cuts Back on Electronics, Other Services
As part of an effort to get “back to basics,” Home Depot is exiting several product categories, including consumer electronics, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The chain, which in previous years has sold televisions and iPods during the holidays, will now limit CE sales to “very, very, very targeted efforts,” the company’s CEO, Frank Blake, told the Journal. The company will also pull out of the home security system sector, as well as other installation services.
