Hong Kong CE Fair Sets Stage with High Volume and Low Pricing
With this week’s Electronics Fair, Hong Kong sets out once again to prove its reputation as the electronics “manufacturer to the world.”
More than 2,500 manufacturers have gathered here at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center to offer the world’s buyers as many electronics products as they can purchase at the best price possible. Because of the show’s proximity to several of the world’s largest manufacturers in cities such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the products ordered can also be made, customized and delivered quickly, said Stephen Wong, regional director Americas of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
“The good thing about having this show in Hong Kong is that we’re so close to the factories the buyers can get on a train and in less than an hour they can be at the manufacturing plant,” Wong said. “Because it’s such a major sourcing hub, there’s a free flow of goods, information and money.”
