The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), running this year concurrently with the electronicAsia exhibition from Oct. 13-16, 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, will showcase two new “experience” zones: the Innovation & Start-up Zone and the Virtual Reality (VR) Zone. The twin fairs, expected to attract more than 4,100 exhibitors, are being organized by the Hong Kong Trade & Development Council (HKTDC), which in the month of October will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding. Last October, the combined exhibitions drew around 96,000 buyers, all told.
The Innovation & Start-up Zone aims to tap into the desire of the thousands of buyers who trek to the biannual convention to view innovative ideas from new companies, tertiary institutions, and R&D centers. The Virtual Reality Zone will spotlight a variety of VR equipment and applications that are being introduced in this cutting-edge category.
