Hop-on Inc. To Bow New Disposable Phone
Hop-on Inc. announced Tuesday the launch of their new disposable phone, in conjunction with Major League Baseball’s 79th All-Star Game. The HOP1800, the world’s first disposable and recyclable phone, will be distributed to the media, players and the Yankee Stadium crowd during this year’s MLB All-Star week events in New York.
The HOP1800, which the company bills as the “anti-iPhone,” is a $10 GSM phone with a talk time of up to five hours and standby of 150 hours. The phone comes in either Dual Band 850/1900 or 900/1800 AMR band. In addition, to promote recycling of the device, Hop-on offers a five dollar rebate for returning the phone to “keep it green.”
The All-Star Game will be held July 15, just four days after the 3G iPhone makes its debut.
