House of Marley Intros Liberate Air True Wireless Earbuds
Known for their eco-friendly products and mission to bring sustainable tech into the world, House of Marley announced their latest venture, which plants their flag firmly in the true-wireless market. The brand’s Liberate Air true wireless earbuds are available now through the House of Marley website, Amazon, and at select retailers for $149.99.
The headphones keep in line with other House of Marley products, crafted out of bamboo and natural wood fiber composite made from sawdust, recyclable aluminum, and REWIND fabric that’s composed of recycled plastic bottles. And House of Marley is able to use all of those sustainable and eco-friendly materials to construct these headphones without sacrificing audio quality or performance.
Features of note with Liberate air include an impressive charging time—nine hours on a single charge and up to 32 hours with the additional 2.5 charges provided in the carrying case—and a seamless pairing experience that connects the headphones to your device upon opening the lib to the case (after initial pairing). Additionally, House of Marley integrated a touch control interface on the Liberate Air earbuds, which means no buttons to press, and easy access to all of the important functions for music and phone call management and to activate you voice assistant of choice.
“The truly wireless market has become a prominent one and we wanted to ensure we provided a sustainably crafted alternative using consciously sourced and recycled materials,” House of Marley Director of Product Development Josh Poulsen said in a statement. “We observed the market focusing on areas for improvement and found the opportunity to propel battery life to nine hours within true wireless earbuds by using efficient chipsets and designed the Liberate Air to offer a seamless pairing experience.”
Liberate Air has an IPX4 rating, which provides sweatproof functionality for at-the-gym use, and interchangeable recycled silicone tips are provided to ensure the perfect in-ear fit.
