House of Marley's Stir it Up Turntable Goes Wireless
Eco-friendly audio brand, House of Marley today announced an upgraded version of their classic Stir it Up turntable—only this time they’re going wireless. House of Marley says the Stir it Up Wireless will maintain the same look and feel of the original, but now with Bluetooth v4.2 capability. The turntable’s simple pairing button, onboard volume controls, and 10m/30ft range should make for a smooth wireless connection.
For vinyl enthusiasts looking for a unique audio experience, the Stir it Up Wireless can be combined with House of Marley’s dual-paring capable speakers. Or, users can opt for their own high-end amp and cartridge to create a completely custom setup. For those who want to digitize their vinyl, Stir it Up Wireless allows for USB to PC recording. The turntable spins at both 45 and 33 RPM speeds, and includes a replaceable Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge.
Like the original version, Stir it Up Wireless will consist of consciously sourced and recycled materials including solid bamboo plinth, recycled silicone, recyclable aluminum alloy, and House of Marley’s signature REWINDTM fabric composed of reclaimed hemp, organic cotton, and recycled plastic bottles. And the materials do more than just help the planet...they also contribute to the turntable's high quality audio. Aluminum alloy provides a more stable playing surface and recycled silicone helps with vibration dampening while the bamboo makes for a sturdy, durable device.
“With the original Stir it Up, we designed a turntable to pay homage to the era of vinyl when Bob Marley was alive. A simple and classic look with natural details,” explains House of Marley Director of Product Development, Josh Poulsen. “The Stir it Up Wireless is marrying that retro look with modern technology, all while using sustainable design elements.”
The Stir it Up Wireless is available now at TheHouseofMarley.com, Amazon and select retailers for $249.99 MAP—just $49 more than the wired version. The turntable is also expected to hit Urban Outfitters online around mid-November.
