Hoverboard Blow Up? The Newly-Released Blink Board Could be the Answer
For consumers out there who lost their shiny new hoverboards in a literal flash—get it, because they’ve been known to blow up, explode, spontaneously combust?—the folks at ACTON, a smart transportation company, think they have the perfect product to fill the hole if their lives—and driveways…
Following up on the success of their RocketSkates and the M Scooter, ACTON made available this week their latest product, the Blink Board. Unveiled at CES 2016 last month, the Blink Board is a Bluetooth-controlled skateboard that checks in at just about nine pounds, making it the lightest electric skateboard on the market, according to ACTON.
Powered by an 800W motor, the Blink Board enables riders to cruise at up to 15 miles per hour without having to take time to use their foot to push off for additional thrust. To speed up (or slow down), the rider uses the included remote control to adjust the speed of the board. And, depending on their level of comfort riding the Blink Board, the user has three speed options depending on how fast they want to go: beginner, normal, and pro.
