Accessorize This: A Healthier Digital Lifestyle
As I am sitting here typing this article I can feel pain shooting up my thumbs. My back is a little achy and I have a slight headache from concentrating on my screen so intently. This is sort of hard for me as I love taking my health very seriously. I work out five times a week, eat well, like my sleep and am generally considered very fit.
I have a small problem though. I am addicted to my digital lifestyle. I love being connected. My Blackberry Pearl, laptop and iPod travel with me 90 percent of the time.
At age 37, I’ve been an electronics user since my father first came back from the International CES with a little My Simon gadget. I represent the first generation of users to grow up with access to computers and electronic games. I must admit that for me and millions of Gen X’ers it was a slow start. Growing up, Atari, Betamax, the Commodore 64, VHS and Sony Trinitron were the only electronics in my household as I entered into my teen years.
