HP remained the top global manufacturer of PCs in the third quarter, with Dell remaining second for the second straight quarter.
That's according to quarterly numbers released Tuesday by iSuppli Corp.
Dell sold 11.3 million PCs in the third quarter, a 7.2 percent increase from the same period the year before. Acer's sales dropped 0.7 percent, as the company remained in third place. ASUSTeK overtook Toshiba to take the fifth spot, behind Lenovo.
