HP Takes Top Spot in Greenpeace Guide
Greenpeace this week released their Guide to Greener Electronics, which ranks the top consumer electronics companies based on energy, green products and sustainability operations.
HP earned the number one spot this year, receiving a 5.9 out of a possible 10 points. Dell, Nokia and Apple - traditionally an also-ran in Greenpeace's guide- followed closely behind. These companies were rated the highest due to their plans for reducing emissions and their advocation for climate legislation.
Last year, Nokia and Sony Ericsson were the leaders but fell behind due to their lack of plans for reducing their company emissions.
