HP Wednesday unveiled the first tablet device with the webOS operating system, the HP TouchPad. The 9.7-inch tablet was announced at a special event along with a pair of new smartphones.
The TouchPad will run Flash as well as thousands of apps. a Kindle application has already been announced for the device. It will arrive in the summer with price and carrier to be announced.
The smartphones announced include the third version of the Palm Pre, known as the HP Pre3, and the HP Veer, which includes a slide-out keyboard. The Pre3 will arrive in the summer and Veer in late spring.
