HTSA Members Donate $19,000 to Japan Relief
Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) members donated $19,245 to Japanese tsunami relief, the buying group said Tuesday.
The companies split the donation evenly between the American Red Cross and the Japan Society, who vendor partners Panasonic, Sony and Mitsubishi helped to select.
"We wanted our donations to not only help the current tsunami victims but also aid in Japan’s future recovery,” Richard Glikes, Executive Director of HTSA, said in a statement. “This donation will help the American Red Cross to provide health care and shelter for the thousands of people injured or left homeless on March 11, and the money given to the Japan Society will go towards the rebuilding of the devastated areas."
