HTSA’s Spring Meeting: A Conference of Shared Ideas
Lucy Lentini, who presented for speaker maker Totem Acoustic, encouraged HTSA dealers not to miss a golden opportunity: “the power to influence the purchase of branded products. Theme-driven dealer events will drive people in. Revisit those traditions.”
Ari Supran, CEO of Dana Innovations, parent of the Sonance, iPort and Trufig brands, suggested members not limit their outreach to architects and interior designers but rather expand it to encompass a wider circle of partners including drywall contractors, finish carpenters, stone masons and landscape architects, to name just a few.
“The goal is to change perceptions and create long-term diversified relationships,” he said. His company’s Trufig launch, in particular, showed designers that the installer community is “not the enemy. The design community is hungry for solutions. The question is, are you leading with technology, or are you leading with how to hide technology?”
