Huge Auto Industry Presence at CES
The Consumer Electronics Association said Monday that January's 2012 International CES will feature a record number of automotive exhibitors, including at least six of the industry's top ten manufacturers.
"CES is now the place to experience innovation in the auto industry, including the latest automotive electronics, including both vehicle OEMs and the aftermarket," Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA, said as part of the announcement. "Car manufacturers are exhibiting at the 2012 CES to unveil their latest models, and aftermarket innovations at the 2012 CES will include tablet integration, Internet radio solutions, in-vehicle apps and driver safety technology."
Daimler Chairman Dieter Zetsche will deliver a keynote address at the event, while Ford CEO Alan Mulally, a past keynoter, will participate in this year's Innovation Power Panel.
