Brizo showed off a collection of kitchen and bath fixtures at the New York City-held ICFF Show in the Javits Center last week that included this design of its SmartTouchPlus technology, which goes one better than its SmartTouch technology by adding proximity-sensing operation to the earlier touch-sensitive operation.
Water flow is activated when hands are anywhere within four inches of the faucet, says Brizo. Another technological touch that has been integrated is TempID, which alerts the user as to how hot or cold the water flow is through an LED light at the base of the faucet that changes color as the water temperature changes; the light glows blue when the water is cool and red when it heats up. Additionally, the faucet shuts off after one and a half minutes of no motion detection.
The photo shows Miles Hodge demonstrating the LED light function on the Jason Wu for Brizo faucet design that incorporates the technology.
The technology is available in other Brizo collections, including Charlotte, Odin and Rook.
