During the IFA Global Press Conference last week in Spain, the organizers of IFA 2019 announced the first two key partners for the Shift AUTOMOTIVE conference and exhibition, which runs concurrent to the IFA 2019 show. Car manufacturer smart and IT equipment and services brand Fujitsu will each have a major presence at this year’s show. Shift will take place on September 10 and 11 at IFA in Berlin, and the program will include various educational sessions, panel presentations, and a first-time Shift exhibition on the Messe Berlin fairgrounds.
Shift AUTOMOTIVE was debuted at IFA 2018 and is the result of a partnership between IFA, Messe Berlin, the Geneva International Motor Show, and Palexpo. The conference is intended to look beyond the technological breakthroughs and investigate what changes and impacts those technologies will have on transportation and society—and if consumers, businesses, and cities are ready for those changes.
“Fujitsu will attend this very special event as one of the key exhibitors and will provide an experience that could propel the visitor’s right into the future of connected mobility through a quantum leap”, Dr. Joseph Reger, CTO CE and EMEIA at Fujitsu, said in a statement. “The notion of quantum computing and conceivable quantum computers are introduced and described briefly, together with the technology of major existing categories and their relationships. The keynote will give look at challenging computational problems in various industries, and then subsequently discussed the availability of equipment and algorithms to address those practical industrial application scenarios.”
