IFA’s CE China Show Coming to Guangzhou in September
CE China, a global consumer technology show produced by IFA, will be held this year from Sept. 19-21 in Guangzhou, the heart of China’s trade and manufacturing business, at the Poly World Trade Center Expo. In its fourth year in 2019, CE China will be positioned as the marquee global consumer technology exhibition for the Chinese and pan-Asian markets, linking premium brands with market players and retailers. The show platform is designed to unite international exhibitors with Asian retailers keen to bring new products to their customers, says IFA.
Host city Guangzhou is CE China’s new location, chosen along with its new show dates. “With CE China’s move to the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center Expo, and switching the date to September, we are following the numerous demands of the industry and trade partners to benefit even more from the economically important ‘Singles’ Day,’” explained Jens Heithecker, chairman of CE China, IFA executive director and executive vice president of Messe Berlin. The show dates immediately follow those of IFA Berlin, which takes place Sept. 6-11 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds (Expo Center City).
CE China will take advantage of Guangzhou’s long history as a trading hub and gateway to China. The city not only offers the advantage of having ultra-modern exhibition grounds, but also is home to thousands of consumer and home electronics manufacturers. Additionally, it is conveniently accessible by directs flight from Europe and the U.S.
An added benefit to attending CE China is access to the IFA Retail University, a format which was co-initiated by Chinese retail giant Suning, a CE China strategic partner. This represents extra value for international brands and 500-plus Asian retail representatives. International brands exhibiting at CE China will have the opportunity to present their products and strategies in 20-minute “Power Briefings” to retail partners, thereby increasing brand awareness and sales in East Asia. Besides Suning, China’s largest online retailer Tmall/Alibaba is among CE China’s official partners in 2019.
