Among its 2019 introductions, SDI Technologies, parent of the iHome brand, showed a wide swath of products at CES that increased its line depth in the traditional bedside table radio category, where it made its reputation, as well as in the health and wellness/beauty categories. It is also committed to adding voice control as a feature in an array of products. Here’s a look at a few highlights from the company’s booth:
- The iHome iGV1 alarm clock music system integrates Google Assistant. It supports Wi-Fi and wireless Bluetooth music streaming and offers the added convenience of next-alarm display and an integrated snooze button. Its exterior grille is neutral gray fabric, and a “phantom” dimmable display can be switched off for sleepers who like a completely dark bedroom. Its Google Assistant capability can work in tandem with iHome smart plug products to switch on and off lighting. A 1 Amp USB port is built in for charging mobile devices.
- The Zenergy iHome brand also adds the iZBT4 portable rechargeable Bluetooth color-changing speaker, which also accommodates wireless music streaming ($39.99). Four color modes smoothly display LED color blending to complement a built-in breathing guide, purported to help slow breath, lower heart rate and calm the mind. A sound therapy feature offers 15 relaxing audio modes including air, focus, quiet, peace and meditation. Being portable, it has a carrying strap and works on a battery charge that will provide up to seven hours of audio play.
- The iHome Beauty Magnify Voice iCVA66 Alexa-Voice-Services-enabled 9-inch Bluetooth lighted vanity mirror with tap-to-talk button also doubles as a speakerphone, can accommodate streaming music, and provides USB charging capability. The mirror is distortion-free and provides 1X and 5X magnification; it ships with a removable 3.5-inch 10X magnification detail mirror.
