iHome’s Echo Dot/Input-Friendly Music Systems
A pair of newly introduced products from iHome has debuted, and both have been designed to accommodate the all-new Amazon Echo Input as well as the second-generation Amazon Echo Dot.
The iHome iAV2v2 docking bedside home/office speaker ($69.99) features a large, white LED clock display with five levels of dimming. It is packaged with specially designed cradle for Echo Input. As for sound quality, it is designed with iHome’s Reson8 speaker chambers and a passive subwoofer that the company says enhances bass performance. It also features USB charging via two USB ports, and is compatible with iHome’s SmartPlugs. A battery backup is built in.
The iHome iAV5v2 ($59.99) Bluetooth portable stereo speaker system/color-changing dock for Dot/Input offers six color-changing modes: slow blend, fast blend, favorite color, pulse to music and preset pulse. It also features Reson8 speaker chamber technology, said to enhance stereo performance, in addition to rear-firing passive subwoofers. A built-in rechargeable battery will operate up to eight hours when fully charged and there is a battery status LED indicator. This unit is also packaged with the Echo Input cradle, and also works with iHome SmartPlugs. The iAV5v2 may also be used as a speakerphone; with digital voice echo cancellation and talk/end controls as features.
