In-Store Experience Impacts Spending, Survey Says
"This study draws strong implications for us to build our in-store presence so customers have a positive interaction with salespeople, our products, and our promotions at the point when they are making the buying decision," says Mark Donnelly, managing director of North America for Atdec Pty. Ltd.
Sales associates were also surveyed about their knowledge of product categories and consumer buying behaviors during the purchasing process. Survey markets included Dallas, Boston, Nashville, Detroit and San Francisco, and covered more than 20 different retail locations, such as Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City and Cambridge SoundWorks.
