Indiegogo Partnership Brings Campaign Products into New Brookstone Showcase Stores
In April, Brookstone announced the launch of its Brookstone Makers Showcase store, a brand new retail experience that would give crowdfunding campaigns and other new tech a way to get their products in front of consumers. Part of the Brookstone PLUS Innovation & Retail Platform, the first Makers Showcase store opened at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York.
“We’re bringing more than 50 years of retailing expertise to new makers,” Brookstone Vice President of Operations Tom Connolly said in a statement at the time. “We’ve helped launch brands such as Tempur-Pedic, Parrot, iRobot and Segway. Getting people to experience new technologies and have fun is in our DNA. What Makers Showcase does is give makers and tech brands accelerated access to Brookstone stores and our innovation-minded customers across the U.S. and, in the near future, the world.”
Since its official opening, the store has featured product from various inventors, global tech brands, and crowdfunding campaigns on Indiegogo. It’s with the latter that the retailer is hoping to develop a deeper relationship.
