New Merchandising Strategies
Dealerscope recently hosted a panel on the latest in-store and online merchandising trends. When choosing our panelists, we sought one with multiple stores that represented one of the more rural areas the country; a retailer with a single store in a busy metropolis; a young executive who could share her views on the millennial or Gen-Y consumers; and someone who could provide an industry-wide overview.
Our guests were George Manlove, CEO of Vann's, with a six-store chain based in Montana and a thriving e-commerce site; Jimmy Garson, CEO of Datavision in New York City, which continues to build and improve its site; Albert Turick, head of Nationwide Marketing Group's Design Center, where he helps hundreds of independent dealers incorporate the latest merchandising and marketing trends; and Courtney Manlove, George's daughter, founder of the Schvee social networking site, and a Dealerscope columnist.
