When a high-end customer understands a product and the engineering that goes behind it, the desire to own it increases tremendously, Kehring said.
“I think it is a brilliant idea,” said Travis Pendley of Car Concepts, Salt Lake City, an active member of the Pioneer MEL site. “Pioneer has brought together online social networking and mobile electronics. It is great to see other installers converse with other installers facing the same problems, even though they might be in a different part of the country or the world, for that matter.” The site’s training videos makes it a pleasure for salespeople to learn about new products, especially when the subject matter is complicated, he said.
