Computer Networks. Identify the number of workstations and peripherals to be made active on the network. An eight-port router hub could convey to your client that labor is included in your pro-posal to activate eight devices, when only four were identified in initial design meetings. If the client has eight devices and there is no call-out for the number of devices you are responsible for, expect to spend valuable time on all eight. Show the equipment that makes up the network in this section. This helps the install staff in panel-space planning and device lay-out.
CCTV Systems. Indicate the intended coverage of cameras and where images will be viewed throughout the house. If lighting is required for use at night, call it out. This will remind your staff to consult with the lighting contractor about the proper lighting for your equipment to work. Indicate the equipment needed to power and distribute the camera signals in this section. List the camera type and style in the room-by-room breakdown.
