CES To Host Connected Appliance TechZone
International CES in 2011 will for the first time include a Connected Home Appliances TechZone, the Consumer Electronics Association announced Wednesday. Taking up 10,000 square feet in the Las Vegas Convention Center's South Hall, the space will be co-sponsored by CEA, the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) and The Retail Observer magazine.
Dealerscope reported in February that next year's CES would contain a dedicated major appliance section, which was confirmed by CEA at the time.
“The Connected Home Appliances TechZone is a natural extension of the CES show floor, with products designed to network and connect, improving the lives of consumers throughout the home,” Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA, said as part of the announcement.
