The iPad remains far and away the top tablet domestically, and Amazon's Kindle Fire has lost considerable strength, according to another survey released Tuesday.
According to ChangeWave Research, of customers planning to purchase a tablet in the next 90 days, 73 percent plan to purchase an iPad, dwarfing Samsung (8 percent) and Amazon (6 percent.) The Kindle Fire number was down from 22 percent when the survey was taken around the time of its release, last November.
Meanwhile, when tablet were asked about satisfaction, 81 percent of third-generation iPad owners called themselves "very satisfied," compared with 71 percent of iPad 2 owners. That number was below 50 percent for all other tablets on the market.
