iPhone 4S Gets Positive Early Reviews
The review embargo for the iPhone 4S lifted Tuesday night, and the response from most of the nation's top tech critics was positive.
The New York Times' David Pogue spent most of his review praising the Siri voice recognition feature, stating that the device contains "a lot of amazing technology. And some of it feels like magic." He did note, however, that many of the 4S' new features are "playing Android catch-up."
Writing on All Things D, the Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg also praised Siri, describing it as "a nascent artificial-intelligence system that has to be tried to be believed." He did note, though, that the 4S "isn’t a dramatic game-changer like some previous iPhones."
