iPhone 4S Sells Out For Oct. 14 Delivery
Apple last week quickly sold out of its initial allotment of iPhone 4S sets, putting delays in effect past the Oct. 14 release date less than 24 hours after the start of its preorder.
The company announced Monday morning that it had sold over 1 million units in the first 24 hours of the preorder, breaking the record of 600,000 set by the iPhone 4 last year.
According to Apple Insider, the wait time for delivery was 1-2 weeks as of Saturday. The preorder began at midnight West Coast time on Friday.
