iPhone Prompts Launch of New Accessories
The momentous release of Apple’s iPhone last week was accompanied by a flash flood of new iPhone accessories. With Apple raising the bar, several other companies are trying to flex their own technical muscles, or just ride the wave of the iPhone’s popularity.
Belkin announced the release of several new accessories including iPhone cases, headphone adapters and stereo cables.
The three new cases include the hard Acrylic Case, the Slim-Fit, and the Sport Armband. The Acrylic Case protects the iPhone while allowing full access to the touch screen and ports, and includes a kick stand that allows for hands-free video viewing; the designer leather Slim-Fit case has a mesh bottom that keeps the case from hindering volume levels and a padded exterior for comfort; then there is the machine washable Sports Armband that includes a pocket to store your keys or earbuds. All of the new Belkin cases cost $29.99—as does the Griffin Technology Elan Holster, a leather carrying case for the iPhone.
