The number one consumer complaint about the iPhone- its slow Internet surfing speed- may be a thing of the past, as the popular device will be sold next year on faster 3G wireless networks rather than the current EDGE Network, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
Randall Stephenson, CEO of the iPhone’s exclusive carrier AT&T, announced earlier this week that it will begin making the iPhone available on the faster network “sometime in 2008.” Apple’s Steve Jobs had earlier said that such a move was possible.
