Residential and commercial speaker manufacturer James Loudspeaker has formed the Mavericks Architectural Cinema (MAC) division whose mandate is to offer design, engineering and product specification services relating to high-performance cinema sound systems to integrators and cinema specialists. Division Executive Vice President John Bishop will be the go-to person at James for this expertise, says the company.
James notes that its Mavericks cinema speakers yield ultra-wide bandwidth, very high sound pressure levels and ultra-low distortion. The new MAC division will provide services relating to systems ranging from simple 5.1 configurations to those offering a completely immersive audio experience using one or more of the available 3D home theater formats, all without compromising a home’s aesthetics, says the company.
Bishop, in this position, will leverage more than 20 years of expertise in cinema design in roles such as sales engineer, consultant and technical rep for companies including Runco International, Christie Digital, Barco Residential, Stewart Filmscreen, ACURUS and Trinnov. “John’s genuine passion and expertise in the residential cinema category has been evident to us during our entire working relationship,” said James Loudspeaker CEO Mark Schafle. “John has been at the forefront of exceptional residential cinema design since the category began, and I am confident that he will bring significant value to James Loudspeaker and our discerning customers in this role.”
