Aiwa XP-MP3 Portable CD/MP3 Player

Aiwa Co., Ltd. recently introduced the XP-MP3, a portable CD player with an MP3 decoder that can playback CDs recorded in MP3 format. Listeners can enjoy one CD-R/RW recorded in MP3, equivalent to about 10 normal CDs. The XP-MP3 features Aiwa's unique disc/album playback switching function and a disc information-reading system switching function (quick/normal). A three-step battery level indicator confirms remaining battery life. Aiwa's unique Dynamic Super Linear bass ensures natural reproduction of low-frequency sound. It uses AA nickel-hydrogen rechargeable batteries (the main unit can be connected to a battery charger). Suggested retail price is ¥23,000 (US$207.60) The devices weighs 285 grams.
